The Encounter: Cat Slayer?

Kitty had been living on a diet of whatever scraps she could find for awhile. Meaning she hadn't been killing people. In fact, she had made it all the way to Florida without a body dropped. That would end today though. Kitty wanted the squishy blue orbs that only humans could provide, and this was just the place to get them.

Kitty was currently in a small town only a few miles from a beach. She was sitting outside a restaurant with a big metal fence. The fence had a large locking gate to detur criminals after closing time. Kitty had seen them open it this morning. There were about four people out on the picnic tables, and one inside behind the counter. Kitty had a plan.

Quickly, the small cat darted by the gate, turning the end of her tail into a kama to catch and drag it shut. To make sure it stayed shut, she took her human form and pushed the lock, using a street bench to boost herself over the fence and stare at the four confused people. It was time to play.

Vel had recently on this very day, he felt he must prove himself to his adooted parent. He constantky said how he would become one of the strongest people ever. People made fun of his determination but he knew that someday, somehow he would have the ability to solo everyone of the missions. He had quickly packed his bags and set out to find a Dark Weapon, classified as Kitty, this was a personal mission he assigned himself. He didn't want to lill the girl, but, maybe knoco a bit of sense in her, as his parent always says "Everyone has a speck of good in them, you just need to find it." And this girl was young so he thought maybe he could save her.

He was now in the state of Florida, not particularly a state he would enjoy, but hey, atleast it's not New Jersey. He snickered at his own mental joke before continuing his walk along the beach of a small town, after a while he decided to sit down and take a break. A few seconds later he was now ankle deep in the sand of the beach, watching along the shore line, suddenly he spotted her....the Dark Weapon classified as Kitty. She looked ready to attack something, as he watched her walk bye he decided he would follow her. When he fully noticed her cat ears he decided on something, he would cover himself in sand to block his scent the best he could, know this weapon had the potential to smell him...well...probably. He started covering himself in the grainy sand, making sure ti cover his entire body and after that he set off after the girl.

He didn't know how many hours passed now, his eyes were fighting to stay up, they were now outside of a restaurant, the Dark Weapon was just sitting their watching the building, it was a nice little set up they had their, but a wall and gates won't save you from a hungry monster.Once he watched kitty make her move he decided he would make his own move, he quickly grabbed his dagger and a set of throwing knives, he would leave the rest back for some back up gear. He zipped up the back pack he had and quickly rushed towards the dark weapon, now perched on the wall. Before his mind could even process what was going on he chucked his first throwing knife close to kitty, not enough to actually cut her but enough to let her know he was there, let her know a new threat was near by and it would be dangerous now. Maybe, just maybe he could save the people she was about to attack.

Kitty was about to hop down into the walls to reap her reward, but was instead startled by a throwing knife whizzing past her. This caused her to jump, lose balance, and fall off the wall onto the bench. As soon as she realized what had happened, she glanced around for the source of the knife, easily picking Vel as the main suspect. She jumped to her feet, reaching down for her ponytails as they morphed into the two chained kamas.

Holding the weapons at her side, Kitty tilted her head to examine Vel. He didn't look threatening. Then again, neither did those other five that beat her up. Or the two at the fair. Maybe he was here to help her like the one boy? No matter what, she wanted the blue squishies, and she was going to get them. Even if she had to take them with a struggle. She liked it when food fought back a little anyways.

Vel smiled to himself when he stopped the girl, but then a slight look of concern flashed upon his face before his poker face came back. He walked closer to the cat girl, dagger drawn "I recommend everyone try and get away." He said out to the group. He then glanced bacj at the cat girl, finally noticing her fancy new kama braids, he sighed and slowly walked up to her "Hello there, my name is Vel Lucifer. I am here to stop you, please don't resist....but if you plan to, force will be used." He made sure he was in her path of the civilians, a plan already forming in his eyes as he gazed at her with a silent look of hope. Vel made sure that he looked as threatening as he could manage, his grip on his dagger tightening as he crouched down, placing his feet firnly on the ground, he didn't wish to kill her....but he would.

Kitty picked through the sentence for words she knew. Hello... Name... Vel... Stop? She couldn't help feel that she was missing the important parts, but it was all she could pick out. When he took the fighting stance, Kitty flung herself backwards, sliding into a fighting possition a few feet back. Was he trying to start a fight with her? He had to be. Her ears twitched as her eyes narrowed in, locking him as a target. She wasn't going down without a struggle...

Vel examined the cat for a while, he then suddenly got an idea, maybe it would work, maybe not...maybe she was just a cosplayer. He took out a mirror from his pocket and reflected the sun on it, making a beam of light appear on the ground in front of the dark weapon. Either this was a murderer....or a fluffy kitten...maybe both. He wasn't sure it would work but maybe just maybe it would, if it did work he would use it to his advantage. "Hey! Look there!
