| His eyes opened. Had it really been two weeks already? He looked down. His brown leather duster still clung to his body. He reeked. "Hopefully I'll get into the DWMA soon," he muttered to himself. He took in his surroundings once more, he was in an alley lying among a pile of trash cans. He could see people already out and about. He looked up the Sun was already high in the sky. "Have I really been sleeping that long?" he thought. He took his hat out and put it on. He stepped out of the alley; now he just needed to continue his search for a meister-and some food.- He went down the street always looking for anyone that seemed different than an ordinary citizen. His eyes caught a nice looking philly steak at one of the places he passed. Without thinking -or looking- he turned to the store. His mouth watered. He looked and saw how much it would cost. "Almost," he sobbed "I guess its another day of this Ramen stuff." He turned and stood back to his full height. He continued walking. He pulled out the little amounts of money he had. "Only three dollars." He counted. He was about to put the money back into his pocket when he bumped into someone who had just come out of the store. His money dropped. He ignored it, the person he had bumped into was an Asian female with pale skin and black hair. She was quite attractive. She also wore a ton of make-up. He would have gotten mad at any other that got in his way but for some reason he stopped, maybe it was her looks, or her attire. She wore Camo pants and a shirt that revealed a only slightly pronounced four pack. "Hi there," he said with a smile as he tipped his hat at her.

| Som was just about to pick up a glass sugar shaker to put into her funnel cake until a man bumped into her. The glass fell onto the table outside of the diner, which later turned into a cup of sugar and glass shards mix together. Som knew of bad luck, but this was just like any other day. "Could you please watch where you are going..." She assured as she lifted up the mess and threw it over her shoulder which landed inside of a trashcan. Som looked at the boy silently as she moved down to a seat with her funnel cake still in her hands. He had short dark hair, but glistening eyes that had to had a good story hidden underneath them. He was wearing a trench coat which probably meant he was on a job. Som couldn't help but keep her eyes on him and felt like he was just another player. "Hey yourself." Som said in her Thailand accent, before throwing a small piece of a funnel cake into her mouth and munching on the tender flavor. | |

| "Hey yourself." she said with an unfamiliar accent. Then she sat down and stuffed a piece of the funnel cake she had. He picked up the coins he had. He stood still for a time, watching her as she ate. He felt slightly creepy; but the funnel cake was calling to him. His mouth watered. He looked and saw an open seat next to her. He casually sat down. "I haven't had much to eat, nor do I have enough to pay for much of anything." He somberly admitted to the girl. "May I have a small piece of that?" He wasn't lying to her. The three dollars wouldn't be enough for more than maybe two normal packs of Ramen. "Besides I should probably give the money that I do have, for that sugar I broke." He said as he looked at the garbage can where the shaker was. He put his arms on the table that they were at. "Oh! Silly me, I haven't even introduced myself." he exclaimed. He stood up and took off his hat and bowed "Indur Alberecht, at your service."

| Som stopped chewing on the rest of the food that swirled around in her mouth. "You are begging me for food? How entertaining..." Som jumped up from her seat and pushed the funnel cake out of the way, slamming her hand on the table. Som looked over at him and flashed a smile. "Then prove to me you aren't just some freeloader or a lousy streetrat!" A moment of silence passed until Som reached on the ground for a small fragment that haven't been thrown away in the trash. Som turned around and saw three uncut shrubs beside each other. Without hesitatoin, she threw the fragment into the group of shrubs. "Tell me which shrub has a shard in it. The rules..." Som sat on the table in front of Indur. "You can't get any closer to the shrub but you do get one hint. Three minus two plus one hundred minus 98. Get it right and I will buy you a philly cheese steak and I might use you for something. Good luck... | |

| "Good luck..." she said. "Great," he thought to himself "A math question." "Very well," he said to her "I'll take your little game." He pointed at each of the shrubs listing off which one was which number, just so she couldn't cheat him out of the deal. Then he set about thinking in his head. It was simple, but when math came about, he was really bad. He thought to himself. "3-2=1" "1+100=101" "101-98=3" He hesitated, what if he was wrong? Well, only one thing he could do. He stepped forward and reached into the shrub he had called number 3 and felt around for the shard, the one on the far right. His hand couldn't find anything but shrub. He pulled his hand out, which was now cut up. "Die Ratten" he mumbled to himself. He must have misjudged the order she counted the shrubs in. "Well, a deal is a deal." he said to the girl. "I guess I'm just going to have to work faster to get into the DWMA." Then he turned and began walking away. He turned and smiled back at the girl and said to her "Zum glück bin ich verrückt" (Fortunately I'm Crazy) Then he walked on.

| Som began to chuckle as he shoved his hand into a shrub. She knew one thing about him, he was pretty easy to trick. Although, she must give him props for thinking about a situation before doing something. "Haha! You fool, who said it was going from right to left. You should know that a true assassin tries to build up illusions." Som jumped up from the table and started walking over to the shrub on the left. The shrub did cut through her hand, but she ignored the cuts to pull out the shard she threw. "Here it is. Well I guess I won and you lost." Som assured as she tossed the shard in the trash with the others. Som watched as he started to walk away, mumbling about DWMA. "Wait..." | |

| "Wait..." she said. He stopped and turned around. His plan had worked, he never intended to get the right shrub -though a free meal would have been nice- he had obviously piqued her interest. "Yes?" He said with a relatively light tone. He decided to give her the whole speech now. "Let me save you some trouble and time," he continued "I have something 'wrong' with me that allows me to change into a weapon." He guessed she knew something about it. "I'm looking for a meister who can wield me in that form." He proposed "if you know of any, I'd appreciate it if you tell me." He smiled calmly at this girl -whose name was still unknown to him.-

| Som looked with a smile as he turned around to express the troublesome path he was going through and now he needed a meister. Som was still weaponless and she chose to take on the path as a meister for revenge and learning a new skill. "Then maybe I can help you! There are plenty of meisters in DWMA without a weapon. If you want to we can start going there! I must say the trip there may be a little bumpy since there are mean people out there who will try to stand in your way." She warned with a serious expression before walking over to Indur and playfully punching him in the arm. "Sorry for my rude behavior from before. The professor is always telling me to control myself. You're probably wondering what my name is...Som...My name is Som Blayer." She assured before putting up the peace sign with her fingers and winking. | |

| "...Som Blayer huh?" he said as he rubbed his shoulder "A very pretty name" *Cough* "A tough suitable name," he stuttered. He felt his cheeks growing warm. "I'm such a moron." he thought to himself. He took step away from her. "As I said before," he restated "Indur Alberecht." He stopped and took a gentleman's bow then stood back up. "Well," he said "What are we waiting for?" He smiled, today was the day. | |

| Som flashed a smile before jumping over Indur and running north. Deep down she knew this one was the one and her long search for a weapon could be coming to and end soon. "Last one there is a rotten egg noodle! She laughed as she continued to take off down the street unaware of what's up ahead. After a while she started to slow down until Indur caught up with her. | |

| He could run that was for sure. No sooner had she slowed to allow him to catch up, that he breezed past her. "I'll make you eat those words sunshine." He turned and winked at her. He bumped into another pedestrian. The man yelled something foul at him. He had gotten used to having a bad public reputation. But to his friends -what few he had- he was genuinely decent, and always acted proper... mostly... sometimes... mostly unless food was involved. Food was his greatest weakness. The cramps he got were awful. He kept thinking about all these things as he continued running. His stomach growled clearly upset at being left emptier than usual. "I hope there is food wherever we're going." He looked around realizing that he had no clue what part of town he was in. He had never been on this side. He stopped to let Som catch up so they could talk about what their plan was. | |

| Som rolled her eyes at his last little comment. "All you think about is food.I swear, sometimes you act like you are homeless" She complained before yawning and walking next to him with a small smirk on her face. As she and the fellow beside her got closer, she noticed a black floor and trees with no leaves slumped over. "Oh no. What happened here?" | |
