The Demon Knights Of Madness

The day was bright,with no clouds in sight.The small Ohio town was having a nice,normal day....almost normal.The Walking Apocalypse known as Nightmare trudged down a lonely alley way,from the street.The only inhabitants were the homeless,the washouts of society.Not really caring to kill them yet,he continued onward until he came to a group of six youth,most likely gang members."Hey boys,look,tin man."One of them said,earning a laugh from the others.Nigthmare growled.

Berenike sat upon a rooftop looking down bellow at the others. He was searching for something to hunt. He had not had much luck for quite a while as it was but he was confident today. Looking around he saw a group of what he could only guess was gang members. His visor burned red smoke as he heard a familiar voice. "They are guilty." He stood and summoned his eagle which swooped down and picked him up at he went over where they were.

The foolish mortals approached him.Before they got to close,Nightmare swung his demonic arm,catching two of the youths,and smashing their heads against the near wall,killing them.He casually consumed their souls as he approached the remaining for,one of his eyes glowing a bright red as quiet laughter erupted from him.

Berenike didn't care for the other one killing them just as well, but he was thirsty for their guilty souls. Before releasing himself, he dropped his sword. It fell until in went right through one on their chests. Landing with a hard thump next to it, he pulled he sword out casually, taking the souls and floating showing his emence 11"9 height as he swung in a great arc taking out another gang member. "Guilty filth..."

Nightmare merely watched at the remaining four were stolen from him.He eyed the knight dangerously.....wait,Knight?Indeed,this was a knight,just like Nightmare.He was dazed for moment before he remembered his agitation at the loosing of those souls.He looked at the knight,fear none existent in his voice as he spoke."Redundant cur,those imbeciles were mine."Nightmare growled as he turned,finding the atleast 20 homeless eyeing them in fear.

Berenike watched the other one in armor in the alley as he ate the last soul. "I don't care what you claim is your's... I saw these and I wanted to slay them... There's plenty souls in this alley you could just as easily take..." He said resting onto his feet rather then floating. He was curious about this other knight and was generally interested that there was others who wore armor.

Ignoring the knight,Nightmare charged,causing most of the inhabitants to flee.With his demonic arm,he reached out and grabbed two people by the head.With his normal arm,he held one against the wall by the neck.With a swift movement,he tightened his grib,crushing the heads of those in his hand and then using said hand to suddenly punched the poor man against the wall,killing him as bits of blood and meat oozed from in-between his fingers.He shooks his hand free of the mess and devoured their souls.

Berenike slowly began turning around to leave the alley. "Happy now? I'll take me leave then..." As he exited he though for a moment. "Do you so happen to plan on going to Death City? Because I could always use the help in case of... bad situations... I'm guessing you'd be due for the security as well?" He asked wondering about this knights origin.

Nightmare merely looked at the man as he shook his hand free of the remaining bits of blood and flesh."I ally with no one,least they prove themselves worthing in battle."He said cruelly,looking up at the man.While shorter,it is obvious he is rather strong and powerful,as a faint aura of madness radiates off his body as his eye glows red once more.

Red smoke rises from Berenike's helm as he pulled out his sword. "I don't have much time to waste... So don't make this pathetic..." He said with slight spite as he lifted his shield and waited. He decided to make sure Nightmare was ready so it would be a fair fight.

That did.Once he began talking,Nightmare immediately charged,lifting his large,demonic fist and punching the shield with sheer brute force,enough that can easily pose a great threat without a shield."Disappear you cur!"He snarled as Madness suddenly bursted from his body(Madness Orb) in a effort send the knight back and gain some distance.

Berenike floated and drifted away from Nightmare as a result and swung his blade upward, sending out a shockwave at his opponent. "You first..." He somewhat snickered.
