It Came From The Ocean

Our story begins on a sandy white beach in the U.S. state of Florida. The water was calm, the sun was shining, and the people were laughing and playing happily. It seemed almost too perfect of a day. Like nothing could possibly go wrong. However, if you bought that then you obviously haven't read the title of the thread. For not far off shore, deep below the surface, something was coming to ruin this perfect moment.

Yes, that's right, under the water was none other than Squid Girl. The Squidshin Egg was moving towards the shore, propelling itself swiftly by using it's tentacles in a jetting motion. For now, she was unnoticeable, a simple speck under the water. Nobody seemed to notice the girl swimming silently. She had hidden her bag on the shore the night before, waiting the night out in the sea. Nothing was going to stop her. The inkvasion started today.

The two Neko twins Barry and Fiona were in the middle of hosting a mini beach party, Barry provided the music while Fiona provided the snacks, sushi and kalimari, mmmmm, everything was awesome and didn't seem wrong to them so they didn't pay much attention to anything but their guest, their sushi and their kalimari((thats fried squid by the way))

Back in the ocean, two people swimming would sudenly dissappear under the water. A group of bubbles would rise from their locations soon after. Squid Girl was pulling people underwater where she had the advantage. One of the two would quickly return to the surface screaming for help, but would quickly be pulled back under.

A series of screams were heard as people swam for the shore in a panic. Occationally someone would yell "SHARK!" or "MONSTER!". When the two died, Squidles consumed the souls and continued towards land, dragging the two bodied along beneath the water. Anyone with soul percept might see her red soul in the water, but without it she was nearly undetectable from this far out.

The twin's attention was suddenly turned to the panicking people on the beach "I wonder what's going on.." Fiona said "me two" Barry said in agreement, the two Nekos rushed over to the water's edge, followed by their party of course

A blue streak reached up from the water, wrapping a paniced swimmer's neck and yanking him backwards. He was so close to the shore, and then it was just gone. Hope was completely ripped away when two more blue objects circled his head and snapped his neck quickly. She consumed the soul, deciding now was the time to make her appearance.

Squidles released the three bodies, allowing them to float lifelessly to the surface as she dug all but two of her tentacles into the sand below her. She then rose from the water on her blue stilts. "ATTEMTION SUCKERFISH OF THE SURFACE WORLD!" She called out loudly. In all honesty, she wouldn't seem that threatening had she not just killed three people.

The people around Barry and Fiona fled in terror, the twins on the other hand stood there staring blankly at her for a while, there was an awkward silence before Fiona finally sniffled "y-you killed those people, thats mean!" She whined with sad puppy eyes

Squidles was going to attack someone else, as shown by her two free tentacles, the ones in the front, lifting and pointing, HOWEVER, Fiona distracted her, turning her gaze down. "I am Squid Girl, emissary of the sea! I've come to inkvade the surface world and stop you suckerfish from harming the ocean. Do you think I kracken care if a few of you die?" She asked, making an ark and lowering herself to the beach's edge.

Retracting her tentacles to their usual place, Squidles put her hands on her hips and gave the two a quick scan. "You aren't scared of me? You should be kracken terrified!" she said, raising her hands in front of her like a bear and making a face that was less than threatening. Some might even find it cute.

Barry and Fiona looked shocked at her first statement "y-your gonna taje over the world?! SEA ALIENS!!" Barry exclaimed comically as he flailed his arms around wildly
Fiona couldn't help but giggle at the squid kishin egg's pose at the end "your cute! But killing is still mean!"

Squidles didn't look too happy with their responses. Her face flushed a deep red and she thrust her fists down in front of her, leaning forward a bit. "I AM NOT CUTE AND I AM NOT A KRACKEN ALIEN!" She yelled in an outburst, each of her tentacles lifting and pointing at the two above her head. She was a good ten feet away, so they could reach with leangth to spare if she wanted to.

"I'm kracken scary! I don't care if killing is mean, you suckerfish do it to us all the time!" She added, trying to prove her point. Her tentacles remained in the air, ready to fly at the two if necessary. Her face remained an embarrassed shade of red and her cheeks were puffed out in anger, as though she was holding her breath like a child.

The two tilted their heads "erm....wha?" The asked in unison, completely confused

Squidles sighed, wiggling her tentacles. "SQUID Girl! I'm a squid! I've seen you surface dwellers eating squid before! You suckerfish think the ocean is food! You think it's a place for garbage! The ocean is my kracken home!" She said, her tentacles snapping back into their stiffened position above her head, ready to strike.

These two were annoying her. She may just strike now. Most of the people were off the beach. A few life guards were keeping distance and there were people on the top of a hill in the distance, snapping photos with their phones. There were three life guards in total, all standing off to the side observing about 9 feet from Squidles.

"OMG! We didn't mean to eat your squid relatives, dude.." Barry said with a said frown "we'll never eat squid again" Fiona said with an egualy sad frown, both totally oblivious to the danger

Squidles' expression seemed to change to that of curiosity. An idea hit her and she immediately straitened out and dropped her tentacles, arms crossed. "You suckerfish promise not to eat squids anymore...? Then I guess I can make an exception and not gill you." She said, looking at them somewhat pleased. Maybe not ALL surface dwellers were terrible.

"We promise" the twins said in unison with the same look of goofy fear plastered on both their faces

Squidles smiled, pleased with their responce. She looked to the life guards, then her smile dropped again. Her tentacles went back into the air above her head, pointing at the life guards this time. The life guards immideatly paniced, one even making a sprint for the hill when six of her tentacles shot forward, two after each of them.

"You suckerfish are supposed to protect the beach, right? I watched all day and you didn't do a kracken thing." Squidles complained, paying no attention now to Barry and Fiona. She'd get back to them later.

"HEY!" Fiona and barry called out in unison, looking peeved "don't hurt the life guards, they never did anything to you" Fiona said "yeah, plus killing and hurting peeps isn't cool!" Barry added "now leave them alone!" The said together, trying to sound stern

Squidles had caught two, but the third had escaped her grasp. The initial shock wore off and the two men began strugling, each wrapped in three tentacles and hoisted into the sky. One of the men was struggling violently and swearing while the other was begging not to die. "I don't care! They're meant to protect the beach, but people litter all the kracken time and they do nothing!" She yelled, pointing her remaining four temtacles forward at Barry and Fiona.

"Er, sorry to break it to you, sea alien, but the life guards are supposed to protect the people, not necessarily the beach.." Barry said with a shrug and a nervous but genuine smile, Fiona nodded in agreement "yeah, but if your worried about the ocean you can join those groups of kids who clean the beach, their bound to have a junior squad" Fiona said, assuming squid was a little girl

Squidles seemed less than pleased with their solution, two of her reamaining four tentacles wrapping around the men's heads and stopping on their cheeks. The final two still pointed at Barry and Fiona. "I'm not going to jet involved with a group of suckerfish surface dwellers! I can do much better on my own!" She protested, waiting to make her next move. With only two tentacles left, her options were limited, but it wasn't like she couldn't use the life guards as human shields, right?

"Hey, dude, I get your passion for the ocean but killings humans isn't gonna clean it! So put...the life guard peoples...down...now" Barry demanded sternly, though his cute comical look sort of didn't help "yeah, or we'll have to make you!" Fiona said while crossing her arms

Make her? This was getting annoying. How could these two do anything to stop her? With no warning, Squidles quickly snapped the two tentacles around the men's necks back to her, a brutal cracking was heard before the men's voices stopped. "Try it, suckerfish! You're no match for the emissary of the sea!" She called out. Just like that the two men were dead. Their heads hung limp, leaving Squidles with four tentacles, two meat sheilds, and two souls floating below the men ready for consumption.

Barry and Fiona looked at each other looking dead serious, then they looked at squid then called out in unison "soul protect, off!" After that a wave of energy flowed over the beach. Barry summoned his magical guitar and Fiona summoned her star baton, their witch outfits appeared on them as they looked at squid
