A clown walked into a bar... Ouch.

It was a very nice morning in the city. The pigeons were fighting over fries, the squirrels were gathering nuts, and the people were on their way to work. Among all this, an odd girl with purple hair was walking on the sidewalk. She was watching a bird fly overhead, which meant she wasn't watching where she was going. This was the clown girl Papi Mogli. Within a few minutes, Papi ran into a light post, falling back onto her bottom. "Ow..." She said to nobody in particular, rubbing her head. "Papi's head hurts now..."

Keeping up a slight pace to get to school, Saren was eating a small piece of lobster whilst walking, like any normal day. He stuffed his face a little bit, and continued on. Among this rush of everyone heading in different directions, he spotted an odd, purple haired girl walking into a pole, He snickered, and spoke from afar. "Oi, girl, you alright? You hit that thing pretty hard..." He smirked, still amused from the site.

Papi's face went from displeased to happy in an instant when she heard the voice. A new friend perhaps? She stood up and ran over to the boy quickly. "Papi is okay! Where is person going?~" She asked, examining the boy's overall appearance. He didn't seem like a bad person at all. Maybe he was even a good person?

Obviously a bit surprised, Saren backed away from the girl. She was a bit invading, but he tried his best to not freak out. "Uh...i'm heading to the DWMA...where are you going?" This girl didn't look like she was with the DWMA, but you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, right?

DWMA...? Papi didn't know where that was... or what it was. Oh well. She'd find out. "Papi doesn't remember. Can Papi come to the DWMA?" She asked, wondering where she was going before. The candy store maybe? Wait... was a candy store a thing? She wasn't sure, but if it was it sounded like somewhere she'd go.

Showing another confused look, Saren pointed to the DWMA. "It's over there. You're a student, aren't you?" Now that he thought about it, this girl didn't look like a student at all. In fact, she was the most unprofessional looking one on the street.

Papi followed his finger to the biggest building in the city. That was the one she never bothered because she had no reason to. "Papi is not a student. What's a student...? Can Papi be a student...?" She asked, curious as to his response. What if it was a bad thing though? Nah. He did look nice.

Looking a bit confused, Saren spoke again. "You're not a student? What are you even doing in Death City? Ugh...never mind that, what are you? Meister or weapon?" This girl didn't seems all that...bright, but she must have known what race she was. He pushed aside asking if she was kishin, figuring a kishin wouldn't dare enter Death City.

Papi took a second to think. "Papi is... Papi is a clown!~" She said, recalling what master had declared her to be. That wasn't the strangest thing Saren would hear today, because she then added a few moments later an even stranger comment. "Papi is also cat-bat!~" This was a sentence that would only make sense to Papi, but so were most things that came from her mouth.

Standing in confusion, Saren recalled to his thoughts to figure out what a "clown" was. He heard the word before, but what did it mean? It had something to do with souls..."Clown, clown...wait...aren't those the things without souls? He still couldn't quite recall what a clown exactly was, or whether it was friendly or not. Was it a peaceful creature, or an abomination? He studied Papi once again, deeming her harmless. "So you're a clown, huh? What're you doing here?" Once again, he couldn't quite remember if clown were enemies of the DWMA, but Papi seemed harmless enough.

Papi looked puzzled for a second. What WAS she doing here? As a matter of fact, where was here? "Papi can't remember..." She replied, wearing a stern thinking face. She decided he may know where they were. "Where is here? Does person know?" She questioned casually, shooting him a bright smile as though it was normal to just not know where you are.

Saren held his temples, quite a bit annoyed with this Papi. Did she really not know where she was? "We're in Death City. How...how do you not...nevermind. Do you know what i'm talking about?" He was quite confused about Papi, really not understanding how she couldn't know where she was.

Papi looked at the boy. He was interesting. "Nope... Papi is really confused." She said, feeling a little lost at the moment. That was alright though. Butterscotch always helped! Papi reached into her pocket and pulled out a small orange piece of candy, unwrapping it and popping it in her mouth. "Does person want a piece of butterscotch?" She asked curiously.

Ech...candy... Saren thought, recoiling his mind in the thought of eating candy. It was a pet peeve of his, and it always ended up tasting horrible in his mouth. "No thank you. I'm not one for candy." He still wondered what this girl was doing here, or what she was entirely, for that matter. He still couldn't quite remember if clowns were considered enemies of the DWMA, but again, this girl seemed friendly enough. He awaited a response, seeing if the girl could recall why she was here.

Papi never did remember where she was going. It couldn't have been too important though. After all, she was stupid not dumb. Maybe she could remember if she stayed with this guy. Wait... did he say he didn't like candy? How could someone not like candy? Candy was amazing! "But how can person not like candy? Is person sick or something?Can Papi help person feel better?" She began, a little worried now.

Saren facepalmed in annoyance, obviously bothered by this girl. "No, I just dislike candy. It's always tasted horrible in my mouth. I prefer seafood. Mmm...lobster..." The ever-so-delicious thought of having seafood filled Saren's thoughts. Realizing that he could embarrass himself talking about his love of seafood, Saren quickly quieted his mind. "Ahem...anyways. candy has always tasted horrible to me..."

Papi didn't understand how candy could taste horrible, but whatever. She didn't want to bother him too much. "Ok... Can Papi follow person for awhile?" She asked, compleately forgetting that she had no clue where she was. She figured that by herself she'd get lost though, and lost was bad.... Right? At least... She was pretty sure lost was bad. Maybe not.

Saren thought on this for a moment, trying to decide to let this girl follow him or not. On one hand, he really didn't want to talk to anyone for fear of them being annoying. On the other hand, he figured this girl would follow him either way, not matter what he did. "Uhm...y-yeah, I guess. Though, you might not want to follow me into the school. Some students could get suspicious of you..." He didn't really care for the girl's safety, but there was no need to shed blood, right?

Papi seemed quite pleased with this response, nodding in reply. "Ok. Papi will wait for person outside, that way Papi won't get lost!~" She cooed happily, keeping pace alongside him with a bounce in her step and the occational twirl. She wasn't the brightest, and she knew it, but she liked this person... Even if they didn't like candy and she was oblivious to their name.

Saren kept walking, still confused about this girl. She was a puzzle to him, one that he just couldn't solve. The way she spoke was so strange, yet still interesting. He guessed she hadn't had much of an education, judging by her obvious...lack of intelligence. She looked harmless, yet she could be hiding something. Maybe this was all a rouse? No, it couldn't be...right? "So you really have no idea why you're here? You just stumbled across this city in the desert out of luck?" He tried to get as much information about this girl as possible, as he was so perplexed by her.

Papi placed her hands behind her back, walking without the twirling and such now. "Mhm. Papi just walks all over the place. For awhile, there was lots of sand. Then Papi found here and ran into a pole and met person!~" She recalled, quite happy to not be lost anymore.... Or laying on the ground. The ground wasn't comfortable at all.

Saren looked forward, still confused. How could she have just walked in the desert and get to the DWMA? How could no one notice her get in? Saren pushed all these questions aside, trying his best to figure it all out himself. "Interesting...and my name is Saren, by the way. As you've probably already figured out, i'm a student here. Weapon." Perhaps getting to know this person better would reveal more information...

"Saren... Papi likes Saren, but Saren isn't a weapon. Saren is a people." She replied, quite confused by his statement. It baffled her how someone could be a person and a weapon. Weapons were cold an really sharp or really blast-y, not squishy and warm. Wait... WAS he sharp or blast-y? Only one way to find out. Quickly Papi tried to wrap her arms around him in a hug to see if he was really a peoples or not.

Saren quickly jumped in surprise. Why did she put her arms around him!? Didn't she know the concept of personal space!? "H-hey! W-what are you doing!?" His face filled with a wild blush, Saren shivered and squirmed, trying his best to get out of Papi's grasp. Hugs disgusted him, and always made him feel very uncomfortable. It was an invasion of space and privacy! His thoughts flushed with hundreds of ideas. Was this a sign of attack, or some harmless action? Either way, it was best to get out of it now.
