Saren gourged himself with lobster, almost eating with his hands. He was indeed stuck in a trance, but this was easily broken with the thought of a conversation. He wiped his hands with a napkin, and began to mention his oddities. "Oh, I...uh...shoot electricity out of myself. Inherited a bit of witch power from my mom..." He resisted the urge to cover his mouth, as telling people about his mother was a very private matter. He decided it wouldn't hurt too much, as this girl probably wouldn't tell anyone else. "I do it in and out of weapon form. I guess it makes up for not being autonomous. right?" He had a small chuckle, and went back to eating his lobster.

Aimee nodded in confirmation of interest. She would take a short moment to continue eating, as she formed more thoughts. She didn't want to rush into saying anything, and ruin the relationship with her new companion. "Both of my parents were Death Scythes, but neither one possessed an elemental affinity. Lightning though? That's especially impressive." She spoke, giving Saren another charming smile, then continued eating her meal silently.

Saren couldn't help but smile back, feeling quite content with the situation. He finished his lobster quickly and held back a burp, cleaning his mouth with a napkin. "Death Scythes, huh? Must have been quite the royal childhood you had." He smiled again, sipping some water that was on the table. He waited quietly for Aimee to finish her meal, in which he would call the waiter over after she was done eating.

Aimee was almost caught off guard by the smile. She didn't know why, but she didn't expect it. She quickly drank some of her tea, to slay the blush that would have ruined her. That blood pattern must NEVER reach her face. *Ahem.* "Well, it was a bit lavish in some area's. Most of it was rigorous study, and training to prepare me for the DWMA. My family takes noblesse oblige very seriously." She cooed. After a few moments after Saren she had finished with what she ordered.

Saren smiled again, calling the waiter over. "Well, i'm not the most professional, but manners and being noble can be commendable. The waiter calmly walked over, placing a check on the table, assuming that the two were done. "Your check." The waiter went back to his duties, which he would then come back later to take payment. Saren searched his pockets for money, but found all of his cash had been spent. He only brought a little, and had spent it within the first few hours. "Fuck...I-I'm sorry, I don't have any money...w-would you be willing to pay?" He flushed, blushing lightly. Having to ask someone to pay for him truly made him embarrassed.

Aimee gave another smile. The boys embarrassment was entertaining. "Silly boy! Paying was never an option for you." She reassured, tilting her head, and hoping to see the fulness of his reaction to her words. "I was the one who invited you to eat after all." Taking her purse she wrote out a check to fulfill the engagement, and tipped the waiter generously. Aimee's face drifted into a frown. He would probably have to leave soon after this, and she couldn't chase him down. Death City was the one place in the world she couldn't go on a whim. Between the people that would kill her, and her old meisters presence, it simply wasn't an option. Her eyes drifted to the side in thought.

Saren snickered in amusement at Aimee's teasing. He truly never wanted to pay in the first place, but he thought he'd take the burden of paying some cash. However, he was a bit relieved that he didn't have to pay at all. Looking at the check that was placed on the table, Saren looked in surprise. "Wow...payed in full AND a huge tip. Nice." He then noticed the girl's sad, but longing expression. What was bothering her? Showing a sligh, concerning tone, Saren spoke. "Oi, you alright? You look a bit down, Aimee."

Aimee forcibly pulled the corners of her mouth into a smile. "Superb." She answered plainly. Of course she couldn't let some stranger know that she had already begun growing attached to him. He wouldn't understand that she really can't help it. She simply spent too much time away from people not to. "Lets be away then." She spoke, gracefully standing from her chair. She decided she should really get to the point. "I cannot go to Death City to check on you I'm afraid." She said as if the boy cared, and they were close friends. "My meister, and I didn't leave on good terms. So visit me or-... Or write me, won't you?" She asked in the most polite tone available to her worried self.

Saren frowned, a bit disappointed that he had to leave. He had forgotten until now that he had to leave for his flight back to Death City. He stood up, extending his arm for another shake. "Y-yeah, sure. Maybe if I ever go to France, I'll visit you. I'll write you for sure!" He wasn't one for writing, but maybe for this one time, he might send a few letters. The thought of spending prolonged periods of time with a girl bothered him, even if it was just a few letters that would be sent back and forth. However, he made an exception this one time for his new friend.

Aimee was almost surprised by the boys answer. To think that he would write to someone he had only known for a moment. Shakily, she extended a hand in good-bye. She felt the need to hug something, but that behavior was beneath such an affair. Aimee took a pin, and note-pad from her purse, and wrote the address to for the boy. She was already excited to hear from him. It had been a while since she had something to look forward to. "It's been a pleasure Mr. Ozaki." She turned to escort him to the airport, and extend their time, before remembering something. "I-I suppose you could use some money as well? I can send you that if you need it." She said, almost nervously. She didn't want to offend him, but if he didn't have a house...

Saren took the not-pad and stored it into his pocket, being sure to use it later. He was still very nervous about writing to her, though. What would he talk about? What was there to write about when you kill kishin eggs for a living? Would he write about his various missions and experiences as a student? He saved his thoughts for later, when he would actually start writing the letters. He listened to what the girl said, and took it into consideration. He DID need money, but he didn't want to bother the girl with such a problem. "No, no. I don't have anything to spend money on. There's no need to be concerned, Aimee." Showing another forced smile, Saren walked out the door, heading to the airport. "O-oh, you can join me for a walk to the airport, if you'd like. The plane isn't leaving that fast, so I don't have to rush." Blushing lightly, Saren turned away to hide his embarrassment, waiting for a response.

Aimee's face lit up the instant he asked her to follow him. She made sure it was struck from her face, and replaced with a good, and proper polite expression. "It would be my pleasure." She answered in a chipper tone, and made way to follow his lead. Remembering herself again, she pursues the interest of her question. "It's really no problem. I inherited quite the fortune from my parents." She would assure, trying her best not to sound snooty. "I-... I would feel better knowing some of it went to something more important that making more of itself... Besides, you need money for stamps." She said, throwing in the only random excuse she could come up with.

Saren shook his head again, heading toward the airport. "I'm fine where I am, there's no need to trouble you with my problems. Besides, I have enough money to buy stamps, paper, and envelopes." He truly didn't have that much money to pay for all these things, but he knew he could find a way back in Death City. Perhaps he could get a part time job? "You should keep your own money for yourself. You never know when a financial crisis can pop up, right?" He resisted his desire to accept the money, and kept walking.

Aimee doubted that there was any financial crisis with the magnitude to bring her family down. Not to mention, if there was, the amount of money he could use certainly wouldn't effect it. Following a bit behind him, she grasped her own arm in discomfort. She knew he was probably doing the polite thing, but she couldn't help but feel she was being shrugged off. She resisted the thought that he thought himself above her assistance. "Yes, well, I would like you to focus on your studies is all." She would assure, rubbing her arm, then bringing both hands to clasp behind her back.

Saren looked back, trying to study Aimee's body language. She obviously just didn't want him to "focus on his studies". It looked like she genuinely cared. Though, Saren thought over the offer once more, and came to the same conclusion. "N-no, it's fine. I'd like you not to spend your concentration on my financial problems. You'll find someone that has a serious problem with finances, and they'll need your help more than me." All modesty aside, Saren actually did want Aimee to help others, rather than him. "A few stamps is nothing to worry about, Aimee." He smiled again, trying to re-assure Aimee he didn't need any help.

Aimee gave a light nod in surrender. She wished with all her heart that Saren would accept the offer. Anything to make him feel like a guarded treasure. At this rate, she may risk entering the city again to see him. That was an empty dream though. There was no way for her to disguise her soul. Save that she could find a witch to help her. An unsavory sort, that she refused to associate with. "Well," She began after a long pause. "I won't force you to take anything you didn't want." Aimee clawed around for something to say, but was drawing another blank. S-stupid, worthless, conversation skills. She'd grown to accustomed to formal matters that were practically written out for her.

Saren scratched his neck, taking in the awkward atmosphere. "S-so...uh..." Being absolutely horrid at small talk, Saren walked in silence for a few seconds, still taking in the annoying awkwardness. What else was there to talk about? They were close to the airport, yes, but he needed something to keep the conversation fluent. ". . .Do you...uh...what's your favorite animal?" He blushed profusely, knowing what he said was stupid. He just needed to keep the talk between them sustained for just a few minutes, until they both reached the airport.

Aimee looked on with a genuine curiosity when she received the question. Her confusion only grew when she witnessed that Saren was blushing. As pieces fell into place in her mind, Aimee began to share in the crimson. The idea's of why he could be flustered, making her feel the same. D-does he-? There was another short pause, then she shook her head to try and find the answer, like a magic eight ball. "..."

Aimee thought seriously, and the one answer had to be her meisters favorite animal. Even though it was for the sake of her memory. "Ocelot." She answered in a plain tone, scratching a depressed surface at the thought of her old partner. "Y-you?" She asked, still willing away the red on her cheeks.

Saren's mind raced at what he saw. Why is she blushing? W-what did she think I said?! What could that possibly mean? He tried his best to fill his thoughts with his favorite animal, a Squid. He tried his best to imagine himself swimming in a beautiful ocean with a group of squids, exploring the sea. These thoughts broke quickly when he heard Aimee's voice, snapping back to reality. An ocelot...interesting. "M-mine's a squid..." He forced himself back, trying not to go on and on about his love for squids and their qualities. He was left to his thoughts again, once again taking in the awkward atmosphere. He really couldn't think of anything else to say, so he decided to have Aimee try and start up their conversation. He was still blushing, very bothered by this atmosphere.

Aimee's brow furrowed in aggravation to herself. The fact that she was still flustered by one little comment. Noticing the silence again, the red deepened from an emotion she couldn't place, but felt like humiliation. S-small talk is oriented by it's dynamic features, s-so, it can be about anything at all right? She thought back to a book she had read sometime ago when she was trying to get a meister. "H-how's the-." No, stupid. "I mean, you're probably pretty-..." D-damn it!... Watch you mouth! Aimee huffed in aggravation. "T-that's an interesting coat to wear on vacation." ...Bakabakabakabakabakabaka!!! Are you daft!?

Saren couldn't help but laugh, still blushing. He covered his mouth to hide his amusement, snickering quietly. He could tell that Aimee was terrible at small talk, seeing as she cut off her sentences and looked confused while speaking. He tried his best to keep his chuckle away, putting his hand down. "Y-you're not one for small talk, are you?" He tried to keep his words light, hoping they wouldn't be taken the wrong way.

Aimee's face deepened the hue of red. Her pale skin was doing her no services here. Luckily she was half ready to be caught about that. She could accept that she was horrible at this now. "N-not always!" She pleaded for his belief. "I-I'm just... Just a little out of practice." She explained, and averted her gaze far away from the boy. "I don't get away from family affairs much anymore, and I know what to do there." Her mind, again, played with the thought that she was offended by this. Like her pride had taken a hit, but she couldn't ruin this.

Saren smiled, his blush finally fading away. He felt more calm and less awkward, being more comfortable. "Don't worry, I suck at it too, as you've probably seen." He walked a bit further, suddenly noticing that they were at the airport. He grew a frown on his face, turning away from the girl. "O-oh...it looks like we're here..." He checked his watch, taking note that he had just a few minutes to spare. He sighed in relief, looking back at Aimee. "I've only got a few minutes left, so we have time to say our goodbyes."

Aimee help back another depressive sigh. At least the bitter feeling caused the redness to fade from her skin. "Yes, well..." She held back the urge to hug him again. This wasn't some long-lost friend, or close family member. She had to be polite. Instead, she extended her hand in a proper farewell. "I wish you better luck than I had." She let her hand dangle in thought. "A-and if it isn't any trouble!! If you see a girl named Sora Clement, can you..? Can you tell her I miss her?"

Saren shook the hand that was extended towards him, still feeling a growing sadness within him. "Yes, yes, of course. Anything to help you out, Aimee." He let go of her hand, stuffing it in his pocket. He stood in silence for a few moments, trying to find something "poetic" to say. A goodbye shouldn't be this simple, right? "W-well...uh...thank you for the wonderful evening. I've enjoyed it very much." He turned away to head inside the airport, but quickly turned back to say something. "O-oh, and i'll be sure to write you, Aimee! P-please write back if you could!" He turned again and headed inside the airport, where he sat on his flight back to Death City in silence. He was truly happy that he made a good friend today, and even more happy that he could talk to her through letters.

Aimee returned the handshake, and returned the hand to her side. "Yes, so did I." She returned the courtesy, then moved to leave, only to be turned back around at his next address. Hearing the request, her face lit up with a bright smile. "Yes of course." She called back to him. Somehow the fact that he wanted to hear from her enough to ask was enormously comforting. She couldn't imagine that anything better would come from this cesspool. She was already done with Vegas, and ready to go home.
